In November of 2011, Jenna Morrison, who was my first yoga teacher in Toronto, was killed in a tragic bicycle accident, along with her unborn child. Her passing left many tears, as well as many fond memories of the inspiring, joyful individual that she was.
Her extended family in the yoga community and beyond have commenced fundraising for a memorial that will consist of a reflexology footpath to be built in Dufferin Grove Park. Jenna proposed the idea herself while alive, and I can’t think of a more beautifully suitable way to commemorate her being.
For the entire month of April, Tavia and I will donate $5 from every treatment we give to the Jenna K. Morrison Memorial Reflexology Footpath. To learn more about the memorial, or to make a personal donation, please go to the memorial information page.
